Snapping
Cracking
Shattering
Falling to the floor
Shards of a mirror
Too sharp to hold
Pieces of a mind
Falling apart
Need to trace it back
Need to find the source
Where did the madness begin
Where did the breaking start?
After all, it is the mind
And for once, not the heart.
The heart beats steady
And it knows it’s path true
The mind is hazy
And doesn’t have a clue
It bends and twists
And wiggles and whirls
It breaks and shatters
And screams and curls
Alone
From childhood’s hour I have not been
As others were- I have not seen
As other saw- I could not bring
My passions from the same common spring-
From the source I have not taken
My sorrow- I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone-
And all I lov’d- I lov’d alone-
Then- in my childhood- in the dawn
Of a most stormy life- was drawn
From ev’ry depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still-
From the torrent, or the fountain-
From the red cliff of the mountain-
From the sun that round me roll’d
In its autumn tint of gold-
From the lighting of the sky
As it pass’d me flying by-
From the thunder, and the storm-
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view-
-Edgar Allan Poe
I am a Witch
I am not here to heal other people and their problems
I am here to help them fix their own!
I am not here to tell people what they ought to do and believe
I am here to remind them to look within!
I am not here to gather and amass personal power
I am here to empower things and people around me!
I am not here to store and use Energy
I am here to transform Energy into that which is for the good of all!
I am not here to change karma or fate
I am here to channel fate and grow from my karma!
I am not here to collect Secrets
I am here to honor and uncover the Sacred!
I am not here to exert the Will of the Creator
I am here to align my will with the Greater Will!
I am not here to tell the Gods how to do their jobs
I am here to tell my inner Goddess “You Can Do!”
I am not here to foretell the future
I am here to see the consequences of the Present!
